Beryl blessed us with some rain. I'm going to guess we got an inch, just by how long it's been coming down. I'll check the bucket by the garden later.

It's going to be an inside day today. I'm fine with that. I think I'll make black raspberry jelly. I have some cherry jelly I made last year that didn't set up, and while it's tasty as syrup, we just don't use it. So I'm going to add it to the black raspberry juice and make a combo jelly.

I've done this with various pairings before: a cherry cranberry jam that was excellent. My problem is, I'm using ingredients that were sort of a flop by themselves, and I can't duplicate them. So while they might be great, they are one-offs.

I also didn't write down what I did with the cherry cranberry. I figured I'd be the one eating it, as hubby claims he doesn't like cranberry. He's the one who said it was excellent. Sorry dear. 2 pints is all we got of that.

<chuckles> the WeatherThespians have a new word for possible disaster. "Areal" flooding.
"flooding that develops more gradually, usually from prolonged and persistent moderate to heavy rainfall"

Been raining steady since yesterday about 2-3, but no flooding here.

It has been cooler here with occasional rain in the evenings.

We had a brief torrential downpour last night under tornado warnings. Thankfully, no wind damage that I can see here.

Much needed rain here, and I should take advantage of the easier weeding because of it!

It also means I need to dig the multiplier onions so that they don't rot in the ground.
