Happy Anniversary Trib!
Sounds like a long day Krista. We only have three short months gardening here, no two garden plantings. We can extend the season with covers and such, but without a greenhouse type thing, you better like root veggies!

Each winter, on average, your risk of frost is from August 28 through June 25.
Almost certainly, however, you will receive frost from September 14 through June 7.
You are almost guaranteed that you will not get frost from July 13 through August 11.
Your frost-free growing season is around 64 days.

That reminds me of when we lived in the UP of MI. We were told that the 4 seasons went winter and then July 3rd, July 4th and, July 5th. Our 3rd year there it snowed on July 4th

We got used to it, and then the job moved us south. Now we are 'Dam** yankees"
So it goes with weather.

Oh gosh , I love the UP. It's my dream to eventually move there (just gotta convince the SO). Lol. :)
oh Lord, the weather up there would be too much! No thanks. I'll take SoCal any day. If I could live anywhere though, it would be in Dalmatia, Croatia. Out of everywhere I've been, it is the most beautify and perfect.

Good morning everyone; I'm on my second huge mug of coffee and it's only 8 a.m. We got about 3-4 hours of sleep last night as one of the dogs was sick. Nothing like waking up out of a sound sleep to that horrible retching sound..it went on for about 3-4 hours. Usually we let him outside and he wanders around eating grass then gets sick but last night it was a -40 windchill and there's no grass to be found. He then attempted to rip up the carpet for the fibers. In the past he's chewed off shoelaces in desperation. I guess anything to make themselves sick. :( It's so hard not to get mad but it was a really rough night. At least the kids were blisdfully unaware.

Ugh. anyway, off to work if I can keep my eyes open and an early bedtime tonight. Have a good Monday everyone!

p.s - Happy anniversary, Trib - I must have missed this along the way. :)

Our golden has a finicky stomach (she is also a 'garbage' eater) and will race to the door to be let out so that she can graze. Happened just last week, but everything is snow covered - she started trimming the azalea bush.

Yes! That's what he did last night..he's white so it was really hard to see him at 2 a.m. but he tried to find grass, gave up and i saw him dart over to our flower bed and I think he was eating some sort of bush. Meanwhile I really had to go to the bathroom but didn't want to take my eyes off him as we have coyotes that apparently can jump fences.

I love my dogs but man...I'm so tired of barf.
