My 11 yo wants to know if Australians talk in the third person regularly....

Lol, I didn't know that we did it at all! Did I do that in one of my posts?!

We must do it regularly because I didn't pick up that I was doing it myself, ha ha!

LOL! Yeah, not sure where he came up with that, but it was an interesting discussion on the way to wrestling practice and I said that, "Margie will ask Krista."

Hi all,

Yes, today is officially tomorrow!
big_smile.png

Just got back from the clinic for my ultrasound and the results are in:

I made 1 follicle which is 22mm (a good size) - and I am having surgery to retrieve it either tomorrow (my tomorrow, Tuesday, that is!) or on Wednesday - they will call me this afternoon and let me know for sure.

I also made 2 x 14mm follicles, which are not big enough to retrieve yet, but it's possible they could be big enough if I go to surgery on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. Follicles grow at a rate of 2mm a day, so they could theoretically be 18mm by Wednesday if I'm lucky, and 16mm is the cut off for being too small.

I am crossing my fingers for Wednesday obviously!

I'll keep you posted......

PS: Sorry to anyone not interested in the IVF talk. Feel free to just skim over these posts!

Good morning all!

Awesome news about the follicles krista. We'll hope they delay you a day and the others get big enough!!

Back to the question of "if you could do whatever you want"... I'm also in accounting. Not a certified accountant, but have always worked in the field. My degree is in computer science, but never really used it for what it was designed. Now I do payroll, financial statements, etc, and also work on any computer issue that anyone has.

Some of my favorite things to do though, are woodworking and sewing. If I could make any money at it, I think that's what I'd like to do. (but then, would it be as enjoyable?? IDK) Now that I have these little fuzzbutts, I've worked on plans for things like watering boxes for ducks... ya know, a screened box to place under their waterer, so the mess is a little more "contained". I also made some chicken saddles for my SIL, and have already thought of some cute designs for some new ones. Coops and such... that would be much more fun than sitting at a desk all day..... I really like the kabazzilionaire idea though. If anyone figures that one out, I'd love to hear about it. My company is likely to close within the next few months, so if I was a kabazzillionaire, I could work on my little wood and sewing projects and not worry if I ever sold any! :)

Margie... here's hoping for some relief from the white stuff. Ugh. Adorable video too! Man those things are huge.

Oh, tomorrow is lockdown on my incubator of 14 lavender orpington chicks. Wish me luck!

Good morning everyone! Boy do I ever love my coffee on chilly mornings/ evenings.
Lavender Orpingtons are on my wish list someday. Good Luck!
No school today for the boys, scheduled off day, and so the day is wide open with lots of possibilities. But first, off to do the animal chores, then feed the humans....

Cold and rainy here today, the coffee is lovely.... Since outside work will be out, I guess I will be cleaning inside today!

I have my fingers crossed for you Krista, maybe you weren't so "sick" this time because your body decided to put it's energy into making the follicles instead.:)

WVduckchick, good luck on the lockdown...looking forward to seeing those babies.
