oh we have and had gators........but we did most of our camping like that during the late fall and thru the winter.........like FL and any of the gulf states it was rough cmaping in the summer with the mosquitoes.....and many of the mammals being wormy....

who said I liked roughing it?

it was cheap entertainment for us young guys.......we lived out in the sticks, few neighbors....it's just one of the things we did.....

Morning/ afternoon! Power came back on a bit ago. Talk about roughing it, had to reheat yesterday's coffee on the wood stove. Power was off about 6 hours due to the Wind. Still screaming out there - 60+ gusts, but the Wind earlier (4AM) was slamming into the house, probably 100mph gusts. It was rocking and rolling out there. Lost a smaller tree at the top of the ridge but the coop is fine and the sheep are fine. So now I have refilled the water containers and moving on with the day. Later!

Hi Margie, glad you got your power back! Do you know Blooie? She's in WY and was posting today about their horrific wind...must have really been blowing all over out west where you both are. Good thing your coop and sheep are ok. Here's hoping tomorrow you can have a cup of fresh coffee!

we were in the low 60's today by weekend highs near 30 - lows of 17-20 and accumulation of snow

Too late to have my gutters done and the ' blankety-blank 'sycamore tree finally dropped leaves and plugged up the gutters.

I have to get estimates on taking that tree out!! I heard you need a sycamore expert because you need a cherry picker etc. Can't climb branches, they fall down (do they ever!) It is a huge tree - I'd worry about damage to our property and next door neighbor.

My Dear Diva, can't you sweet talk or bribe someone young enough to do your gutters in between the bad weather?
I would but, I only do 1 story roofs and they have to be in the south.
Good luck with the **** tree!
