I wonder if Science is scaring us. Babies have been born for a long time now. regularly too I think.

I have one daughter with her first preeclampsia labor was induced and baby  was here a month early. 4LBS. She is fantastic fun now but that was scarry. ICU with UV lights.

Same daughter pregnant with Baby #2 Doc says looks like placenta is small. we will keep an eye on it. ?

Oldest daughter is having their first! has a blood clot and is bleeding doc said 50/50  shot the whole pregnancy. 9 months to go and the doctor tells her she could loose the baby at any stage.

New doctor! said it is a common problem that will resolve itself and she should take it easy but try not to get stressed!

There is something to that. But child birth also used to be the number one killer of women. That and many women are waiting until they are older to have kids, oh and obesity. Doc always assured me my age was not a factor in my high blood pressure, and she knows her stuff. But a part of me always wondered if I was a more fit 20 year old, if things would have happened the same.

Yeah the older thing...my wife was very young when she had our boys..16 -18. And had no problems....my daughter in law is in her thirty's. ...I hope this is their last....by the time I was their age I had teenagers...(and a 2 year old)....but this will make three for them that's a good number to stop.

I am 36, if i have a third i will be considered a geriatric pregnacy DH really wanted a boy, but his chances are not very good anymore. It is all good though, he has Thing 1.

I am blessed with 3 girls and no sons,our #2 DD is a very strong, mechanical minded, work with her hands and, still thinks that if it don't work a swift kick should help kind of person. I would not want to deal with a son that would be even more like that.

Yes I think he is happy with what he has. He takes out oldest to the sale barn everytime. The younger will follow as soon as she has more girl then baby in her. She is his little mini me.

I got prego with our 4th when I was 36...and yeah, I was geriatric! LOL We had 3 girls and the Lord decided to surprise us with a boy! He just turned 8 on the 11th. It's been a blast!
Congrats Phil! How many grand babies will this make?
