It's hard to understand that I can throw a bag of feed over my shoulders and all is fine.  Lift the toilet seat, pull back the covers, bend over to tie my shoes, and there goes the back.  I am just at a dull ache now so I do intend to go back to running - or perhaps I should say jogging.  I really love doing it.
I understand that completely...I do a lot of things you would think I could....but the wrong move with my shoulders and I'm on the ground screaming.....when I was wrenching with my hands above my head every day....pure misery...

I decided I was injuring my back, weakening?, it with the lifting (at the time I was working as a nursing aide) and then the little things, like grabbing a piece of paper off the floor was just the last straw.
I need to get more diligent about doing planks (I would bet money Ruby's back never goes out)

Thank you ;)

That was my first time with Bread! Big Santa takes less time but if you have EVER played with clay or playdough you got this! if you dont like it smash it and roll it out again :yiipchick Bread used to scare me everyone would tell me it was complicated handle it too much and you got a brick. but start with the simple and Basic recipes and move up from there :idunno
I thought the rolls were brickie but my family assured me they didnt think so and every one ate at least 1. Going to start trying to make a chicken bread Farmers Market Here I come :celebrate
I always wanted to get involved with the farmers market....they have a nice one on Marquette....maybe I can find a niche this year.

Yes, planks! Strengthen those core muscle, it's what holds your back up for real. I'm a chef, constantly lifting 50 plus pounds. I've got some pipes I tell ya! But my core muscles are weak so I can get out of the shower and throw my head over to towel off my hair and whammo, my back is out! I started going to the chiropractor and that helped immensely but he told me if I didn't strengthen my core and my neck I'd have to come to him forever! At least he's honest and not greedy!

Got hubby a coffee roaster for Christmas...best gift ever!! Fresh roasted coffee...OH MY WORD!! We've just taken coffee snob to the next level!

Yes, if I can make (silly phone) myself do them I never regret it, but I get lazy and forget, then lift the baby and start weeping. BUT my back is much better since I quit lifting. I think it was just the constant stress, I did permanent damage.

What kind of roaster did you get him for Christmas? I've looked at several but wondered about cost and ease of use. Would you recommend the one you got to a novice roaster?

Yes, I think the one I purchased is great for a beginner. It's easy, but has enough functions to tweak and play with your beans. The cost was what I could stomach too! I did a lot of reading and researching before I clicked the "buy" button.

It is the Behmor 1600 Plus. http://www.roastmasters.com/behmor.html paid $369 and got 8lbs of coffee to start with too. The other one I was thinking about getting was $600. We've already roasted a pound of delicious coffee! Truly never had a fresher tasting cup.

I'll have to read up on that one. Your coffee sounds wonderful!
