good morning Mare....

what's the worst that can happen? your chickens get some eggs for a treat today?
Forgot to follow up - steaming is THE way to go. The first attempt didn't go so well - I picked smaller eggs and cooked for the longest time recommended and they STILL didn't cook through. Think it took longer for the steamer to reach "full steam" than allowed for in the time so the eggs needed a few more minutes of cook time added on -- oh well, the girls had a LOVELY feast and didn't complain about them being undercooked.
Anyway, today I was digging around in a kitchen cabinet looking for something and came across something I didn't even know we had -- an egg cooker. Apparently DH picked it up while he was geo-bachelor in N.C. the last three years he was in the Marine Corps, brought it home with him when he got out and it got shoved into the back of the cupboard. Well, it's amazing the difference it makes when you use something made for what you're doing -- steamed three eggs to perfection and SOOO easy to peel!

Well, the ewes will take that as an indicator of perfect lambing weather -- as soon as it picks up and gets to blizzard conditions after dark.........

Probably....

They really are! I love all the different color patterns, there's so many! All very pretty. One day I'll own one.

Though sorry, topic is well changed by now

Anyhow, I hate sushi (okay, never tried it but still) but I also hate seafood. I don't even like fish anymore. I used to love fish but I don't know, it's just so boring and gross tasting haha some of it is okay. Mostly fish sticks  hate clams, lobster, shrimp, oysters, etc.

LOVE donuts.

And human cookies or fishy cookies? Lol

I never thought of it like that. We definitely don't prepare it right. Not sure I've ever had true beer battered, just frozen kind, but do love fried fish so I'll have to try beer battered. Never had catfish, blackened or not, but we're from New England so not real common I'm sure.

I can say this.... I love fish I've had it there times this week already... I honestly think most people that don't like fish haven't had it made right.... I have friends that swear they can't stand fish... They come over and I make it and they are hooked.... Seriously it's all in how it's cooked....
No lambs yet..... it is snowing however....

Dang girl enough snow already.....

Could not agree more -- I absolutely love fish, when it's done right, but there is no getting past badly prepared fish and if that is all someone has ever had then in their mind fish = BLECH!!!

I think I need to have some properly prepared fish then lol

Here's what I do....
I like a good bluegill fillet... But most white fleshed fish will work...
I take my fish... And first roll the fillet in corn starch..... Then I dredge in egg..... Then I roll it in a mix of crushed rice crispy and flour seasoned with season salt.
Then I fry it in canola oil till golden brown.... When finished I lay the hot fillet in a pan lined with paper towel to soak the excess oil. A dash of salt and eat.... Yum
