That's some oh hail, OFW. There was a hailstorm on our way up to Denver, but it broke up before we hit it. Ground looked like it had snowed though.

Hope the crops come through OK.

OFW, I am so sorry.
I know so well that sinking feeling of doom that always rests in the pit of your stomach, we hope always for the best, I think farmers are natural optimists, but I was always the realist, and Farming is sometimes such a desperate way to survive,

Other people who have consistent incomes coming in no matter the weather- do not realize how something that might smash their petunias can destroy that year's mortgage payment,
Or not be able to afford new tires for the tractor. or seed.

Thank you, i think i qualify as an optimist...i tend to believe firmly that everything can workout well in the end, and have been fortunate enough in life for it to play true so far :)
Looks like we got lucky, no wind with the hail and everything was still green. Some of it got knocked down, but we think it will pull through.
We have been fortunate these last couple of years, cattle prices have been good enough to give us a bit of cushion. But yes, if the wheat fails we will have to cut back, fortunatly our needs are small :)

Ugh!  That is some nasty hail.....    :hugs
The lambs seem to be thriving.  Still keeping a close eye on the new ones.  The three older ones are bonkers.
Gonna bring steaks to grill down to my neighbor's place and hang out with him this afternoon until wrestling practice.....   if we go.....  still pondering.  We missed all of last week with the lambing scene.  We will just see what happens as the day rolls out.
No worries!  Be happy!  Have a good one too!

Glad the lambs are seeming to be well! Have fun with the grilling if you aren't already there! :)

Hey KDOG! Haven't seen you in a while! How's it going?

I hope that all of us that live out/off on the land have a good year!
