WVchick, how are the girls?
was it cocci?
Hope all is well.

Not really sure yet. I basically just found some mustard-yellow poo droppings, and maybe I panicked, but I did run out and get medication. Plan to investigate more this evening, then decide what to do. All the chicks "seem" fine, so keep your fingers crossed!

cecal poo?
Cocci is clear and watery isn't it?
I don't know.
I hope all is well. Do they look lethargic or blecky?
(That is a technical term)

Stopping in for an evening cuppa Joe!  It is chilly out there and a bit of rain, but I got my horse shod before it really came down, so all is well.
That little guy has a phenomenal personality to go with his looks.  He wants to follow and check everything out.  A classic example of, "Do not get him used to anything that you would not want a 200 lb animal to do, like sit in your lap...."  So far, we have been very good, but I just want to pick him up and hug him....."and you will be my friend for life!"   kinda thing......
I am sure the other ones will settle a bit when they are as old as he is.  His brother has huge legs.    I think it will be fun when the breeder can teach me the breed points to look for.      They will keep their markings and the wool will darken with age. not get lighter as a lot of horses do.

A very good point!
Congrats Margie!!!

We made that mistake with our dog LOL

He was a handful for a while (although all dogs go through adolescence/teenage phase) but thanfully at 3 and even a little before he magically calmed wayyy down. Now he turned 4 in March. He still gets overexcited sometimes though. But he's half black Lab and half Great Pyrenees and we didn't realize how big or how protective he would be. But fortunately hes sensitive and likes to make people happy, he just has to think about whether it's worth it first and treats or phrase make it worth it (and occasionally mild corrections when I know he knows), so it's been pretty easy to fix the mistakes. Nothing major either but you know, stuff like mouthing, jumping up, begging, etc. He still occasionally mouths and jumps but mostly during play. My brothers used to roughhouse with him and let him run and jump up and mouth. They of course would let him then yell at him the next second but it's all a game and he still plays rough and leaps at you but we're working on it. But when he's a little 8 week old puppy it's way different. We also went down and slept with him when he cried so yeah. Let's just say he's spoiled :D he's now 130 pounds maybe a bit more cause he's kinda fat right now. But also being lab and Pyrenees both mouthy breeds he's very mouthy and sometimes grabs your arm whem he has to go out and he always has to have his pillow and he brings you a present when you come home. Those things are cute though except the first one but we've been working on getting him to use his words instead LOL but he grabs a pillow and goes and lays down and just holds it and wraps his little paws around it and sucks/breathes. When he's especially frustrated he.. umm.. humps it but that's really rare.

Sorry I got to talking too much LOL

These articles on poop I bookmarked a while back may help you. I too had mustardy poop for a little bit and worried but turns out its normal.

There are even pics of cocci poop. I think it also usually has blood in it

Here you go. A little gross but both were very very helpful to me and have loads of poop pictures.
