BYC Café

Good morning cafe, think I'll join you in that extra strong coffee this morning. Passed my test yesterday, so it's back to work then I'm painting the living room.

Hope you feel better Bunnylady, make sure you stay hydrated!

WooHoo -- that's great, Friday, congrats on passing!!! Can't get all that excited about the prospect of painting, though, for me it's one of those projects that always seems really exciting and fun when you start but by the time I'm even done with all the prep, or at the latest by the time the first wall is done, I'm over it.

At least you have gotten over the fever, the rest should clear up fast now, I hope

It is the last item in the laundry room that I haven't worked on lately. It is nearest the door, so to move anything big in or out of the laundry, that drier has to go outside 1st.
i think that I will put in a slide and just boot it out the door and see how far it will bounce.

On the upside, at least you have the know-how to work on it --- finding the parts these days is another story. It's so frustrating to me that most things being produced are being produced as "throw away" products, and if/when they break down you are hard pressed to find the parts to work on them (if you have the ability to do so) or find anyone to do it, when repairmen used to be so easy to find..........thankful my dad made sure to raise handy kids and I also have a handy husband.

35 subscriptions to catch up on! I gotta unsubscibe from some lol and tbh i dont even read most of them, just go to the last page to clear the numbers. This one i read.

Do your chickens get ticks venturing out? I think one of my chickens might possibly have one but not sure, need to look better tomorrow. Felt this bump thing and thought i saw something but could be wrong. I've occasionally felt them before but figured it was just the feathers being set weird especially becsuse I've looked before. Well anyway, idk if it is a tick or not but if it is i feel awful if its been a while and i didnt notice but i dont think it has been.

Top o' the morning! Beautiful, cool fall morning here -- woke up to a lovely blanket of fog this morning, sure looks pretty hanging over the river.

Google is my best friend when it comes to finding parts and a parts catalog for things that are older then my Grandbabies.
Growing up in a farm family where if 'it' broke you fixed 'it' or did without 'it'. Trips to town happened once a week, and Grandpa didn't believe in spending money willy-nilly on anything new if the old item could reasonably be fixed. Nowadays alot of things do not have any repairability at all. I tried to raise handy DD's and am working on the Grandbabies.

Yes chickens can get ticks. Do a search on ticks in the box at the top of most any page on BYC.

Congrats!
Morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee. Guess what? I am getting a new grandbaby today. My DIL is heading off to the hospital as we speak.... very excited to meet this little one. She is supposed to be a girl, but we will just wait and see what pops out! LOL!
DS$ has his final XC meet and then off to wrestling so another late night, way past chicken bedtime.
Till then......
