BYC Café

Good morning everyone! Thanks for the coffee.

@scottcaddy here's a pic for you. There were 6 of the little boogers in my duck pen this morning.
Ducks don't seem to care, but they eat all the treats!!

Good Morning, WVC

That is why I always carry my C02 BB pistol with me when I'm outside.
Those feed stealing, net chewing, rabies carrying, egg eating tree rats don't like me showing up!
I will shoot on sight and chase them up into the trees.

Morning! Foggy and freezing drizzle here and I had a huge list of things to accomplish today but my plans got hijacked yet again. We are not going to WY as DS$ broke his arm in practice last night and we had a late night at the ER getting it splinted and with the weather, well, it made the wait a bit longer because everyone was biting the dust with car wrecks and just slipping on the ice. I will say though if you walk into the ER around here and actually have insurance, they do their best to get you taken care of quickly. It was a quarter of the time that I imagined it would be, thank goodness, and now at 8AM I get to call our old orthopedic doc that we haven't seen since we stopped racing. DS$$$$$ is bummed, to say the least, but these things happen, especially at his age when they are growing and forget where they are in space. I am just hoping he will not need surgery and all of that.
It is going to be a long day on a short night's sleep so keep the pot hot please.

Hubby got me a new air rifle recently. Shoots the .177 pellets. No CO2, no pump. I can pick them off from the kitchen window!!

But at the same time, when I see lots of squirrels, I see less hawks. So I'd rather let the hawks have them, and leave my chickens alone.
