Good morning cafe! Thanks for the coffee, the little one was up at 4:15 this morning so it's very much needed

It's a balmy -10 (14 F) this morning (without windchill).

Off to storytime at the library, I hope everyone has a wonderful day

I remember those toddler days very well. My DS$ is son #4 and I have spent so many years at storytime and play groups, etc. Can't wait to see the grandbabies again and take them out and about!
Lots of miles spent hiking outside to preserve the integrity of the house too.....

Yes! Monday, Tuesday playgroup, Friday storytime. Lots of hiking, but it's tough sometimes in the cold weather. We don't stay out long on cold windy days. And some days it's just too bad to go out.

My brother got back from Asia today
That's exciting!

What was your brother doing in Asia Kelsey? Hope he was able to bring back lots of pictures to share.
Definitely is, Treerooted! And NFC, he just went for fun with 2 of his friends I think from school. He went for a while month! Oh yes, he took lots of pictures! He went to Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). He had a great time, although one of his friends left a week early and I think he said the last part was a little long. But from the pictures, it looks like that part was gorgeous! I think he just got a little sick (physically and homesick) toward the end

A month is quiet awhile to be in such different places from home. I went travelling for 7 weeks in east Africa, and while it was amazing, there were times I wanted to be back home too.

Very true! He also just missed his girlfriend, she was leaving for a semester abroad in Italy right before he got home so he won't see her till like June so he was probably thinking about that too. She wanted him to visit but he said no because she would be in classes cause they have different spring break schedules plus he's been there before so it just wouldn't be fun being in a hotel or sightseeing by himself.

Oh wow, Africa!? That must have been cool

I gotta travel more

Oh ya, that's tough. I uh, broke up with my boyfriend before travelling that year. But he's my husband now so it all worked out

I've gone on two international trips (the other was my honeymoon), and I do sort of wish I had done more, but I'm happy with my experiences. Africa was a very good trip, and it really pushed me out of my comfort zone, especially since I was travelling alone for half the time.

Oh wow, that's a funny story! Lol

They've been together for like 4 or 5 years i think?

And wow, sounds like Africa was great, i don't think I'd be able to go by myself

I've been to all the New England states but I live in Massachusetts so not sure that counts LOL NYC a couple times, rest of New York driving to Pennsylvania (mom has family in Western PA and I went to school out there a year), had a layover in Jersey and I think Georgia once??? Been to Florida several times for vaca and we've been to the Bahamas a couple times and Canada once or twice. But all the traveling I've done lol

My brothers have gone out west with Boy Scouts and just recently my brother had an internship in Texas for the summer and my other brother went out to Wyoming and California for his school and they also met up and went to Cali together so thats cool. They also went to Italy with high school with Latin class i think but i was in Spanish and we never went anywhere cool lol

I've never been out west or abroad besides Canada and the Bahamas so I'd really like to see a lot more of the country and world.

But that said, I also go to lots of concerts and they don't so I guess I just spend my money differently and I am not complaining btw, I love going to the concerts and it's a choice, but I'd like to start traveling more. Step one, buy less merch and less pet supplies lol
