Morning! Yes, pictures are a must. DS$ stepped outside the house to head off for the bus and exclaimed, " Hey! It is nice out. No BREEZE!"

I am heading down the hill to go have lunch with my SIL.
Everyone have a good day!

After too many days in a row of high winds - I realize today is quiet. Of course the neighbors towering pine, has my lawn covered in pine cones and other junk. Their extended down spot makes sure every bit of run off heads for the side of my house. I wondered why there was a narrow sunken path from them to us, and it finally hit me! duh. Then their huge maple tree just about lies over the side of my house and thoughtfully clogs all my gutters. They have that clumpy decorative, very tall grasses just on the dividing lines of our property. After these windy days - that exploded into grasses and browned feather plumes all over - yes my lawn.

I don't complain because I love their dog - but, oh yes, the dog runs loose and manages to leave BIG piles on my side of the passageway. Watch where you step.

easy fix for the downspout, tree overhanging your property, and the dog piles......

redirect the water flow, with dirt.......

trim what hangs over your house.....if it would happen to fall, it would be THEIR insurance that fixed the damage.

dog piles? get a ziplock baggy....... turn the baggy inside out, place your hand in the baggy, and the pick, up the pile. here you have a choice, you can turn the baggy right side out again......or you can play grenade and lob the offending pile back onto their property, or you can dump the piles into a paper sack and leave it on their doorstep.......

Tumbling K are you stalking me - it wasn't me you saw baggins up some mighty big turds and flinging them in their bushes when no one was home. Can't get up on the roof because I am old and fragile and scared of heights. Nobody helps me. Don't have the $$$ to have enough dirt brought in to raise the ground level, so the water will flow back to them. I am wondering if I could make a low dam out of large construction bricks.

Actually I have been doing the grenade bit for years and some of them are still basking in the bushes. They generally don't check over their property or else are silently furious with me and that's why they had their tree dump pinecones on my lawn, and other tree clog my gutters. Maybe we are like the Mad magazine comic spy vs spy. and we are both duke-ing it out anonymously.
