Good Friday, folks! The sun is shining, the birds are singing and I'm headed into an office that doesn't even have a window:hit So looking forward to the long weekend! Big day here, have to run home at lunch (ok, I go home every day, the upside of living less than 5 minutes from the office now) and meet with the officer doing the inspection on our coop/run for my application to be an "animal facility" do I can have more than the hens. :fl (actually get the feeling it's more of a rubber stamp thing but we'll see)

Good luck.

So, ducked away from my desk a couple of minutes early so I could be sure to be home between 12:30 and 1:30 as I had told the nice officer I would be......rushed home, skipped actually fixing any lunch so I'd be readily available as soon as he got here and here it is 1:27 and NO OFFICER.....no phone call (I know he has the number as he called the set the appointment earlier in the week - it's on the application he has)....I get that stuff happens, but it's still really irritating..........suppose I'll just have to wait for him to call back and re-schedule (when they call it is from a "blind" # so you can't call them back directly)....:he
.......on the bright side, maybe the delay will allow us to get the last few finishing touches done before it gets inspected (nothing that effects pass/fail, but things I'd like to have done when he sees it nonetheless).

A smiling dog doesn't growl at you.

Exactly! Though to be fair it was more showing his teeth and it was strange for him

Morning! Cloudy with a chance through the weekend, but at least the snow is mostly gone. Last day of school so the DS$ will be able to wrestle and WORK! Oh, I mean cross-train...
KDOGG, I would put that dog on a leash and start doing some obedience work with it. Just 10 or 15 minutes a day can help with the attitude.

He actually is pretty advanced with obedience because I used to work with him a lot when he was younger and he never really does that so it was strange.

Although that said he does get to sleep on the bed and sometimes barka for things, he's spoiled and can be a bit demanding for stuff aha

And I haven't worked with him at all lately so maybe that's part of it.

I'm going to start working with him regularly. Not just for any attitude but also because I think he might be bored.

Speaking of which, while the behavior obviously wasn't acceptable, I think he was also a little bit sleepy and grumpy I was making him get off the bed. But I didn't even do anything when he did it.

And I think maybe sleeping all day makes him depressed/bored and grumpy? And he has sort of bad hips.

BUT.

All I did was move his pillow over. But I think he thought I was gonna do something. But I didn't.
