Ok. I looked up carbaryl and discovered that it's Sevin dust. If I'd known that I wouldn't have driven for an hour to get it. Firstly I have 3 cans of it here and the hardware store 15 minutes from here carries it.

So now my question is, can I mix it with water to make a spray? I'm concerned about the dust aspect of it.

Use the dust on the chickens and get: https://www.amazon.com/Martins-Perm...d=1504320079&sr=8-6&keywords=permethrin+spray

and make a spray for the coop. You will need to dust the chickens 3 times total with 7 days in between. Treat the coop monthly for a couple of months. Monitor the chickens for mites--They are very hard to see but the dirty butts and streaks on the eggs are a sign of them.

Their sensitive respiratory system.
The dust will be fine. DE is bad because it has silica that cuts the lungs. Poultry Dust does not have that so it will not hurt their lungs

Good morning everyone
First day back at work for me after almost 2 weeks off. I gave in and bought a couple of cords of firewood as a padding for winter. That's being delivered this afternoon, then it's off to treat the girls.
I hope that everyone has a great Saturday.
Thanks for all of the help. I want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing for them.
