Question. If I move all of them at the same time can I add new ones at the same time? New place new pecking order to be established? I found someone who is dispersing their flock and has buckeye hens for only $5 each. I'll just need to find a roo and I'll be all set.
yes!

I find that messing up the environment when adding new ones makes everything MUCH easier.

If these are new to you birds though... quarantine them first! And maybe dust/spray/treat for all parasites before putting them in the new coop.

If there are super low on the pecking border birds...or a big size difference, I find 2 sets of water and feed is best for the first couple of weeks.

Good luck, and super congrats on the new coop!!! I sure do love new coops!!! :drool

Oh definitely. Dusting was already planned before the move. As is a light dusting of DE under the litter (going to try dlm).
As far as the coop goes, it's a total slap together job. Not the prettiest but a whole sight better than what they're in right now.

Thanks for the advice everyone. There were only 3 buckeyes left which I think will be perfect. I'll add a roo in the spring when it will be warm enough for the chicks.
