BYC Café

Good morning Cafe, the coffee is ready and the water for tea is hot so help yourself!

@KDOGG331 we have elk and deer out here and have made a few things but the person that might be the most help with cooking wild meat like that would be @R2elk Let's see if he'll pop in here with some helpful tips.

Hope everyone has a good Saturday!

Thank you! Hopefully he has some ideas!

Did you like the taste of either?

Kdogg elk is my favourite meat. The best way to cook it, like all wild game, is low and slow.

CJ makes yummy elk & noodles. Brown the meat in a pot, add water and let it simmer for a while. If the flavour is weak you can always tweak it with beef bouillon. When the meat seems done add egg noodles (bechtles is my favourite). When the noodles are done, ladle it over mashed potatoes.

Thanks! That sounds delicious! I'm kind of excited to try the elk now haha

Do not rush wild meat or it will be tough and stringy.
Your favorite beef rec will transfer over, just make sure there is plenty of broth and lots of time, probably double, and cover it.
Morning!

Thanks Margie!!

BF and I bought the Son a new 32 inch TV with the bells and whistles on it his was old enough his newer blue ray would not work correctly, I ordered it at Wally they sent me a email we can pick it up today.
