the hard part of not being with the grandkids as we grow older not near as festive but us three love one another

We had the stove refuse to vent up the chimney today so the house was full of smoke.
We rarely argue, but hubby did not want to hear my opinion that the stove pipe should be dismantled and cleaned. I put the cats upstairs, shut the door on them and opened a couple of windows , then put on a fan. Threw on my coat and went outside. This is not the first time we have had this problem. The chimney sweep refused to do anything because the roof is too steep! Anyway, if we have more issues, you know who to blame.

I was afraid you would have trouble with smoking up your house when you mentioned before that the chimney sweep refused to help you. Surely there must be one willing to help.

Hubby just goes up and beats on the stovepipe until junk falls down. Not a good solution if you ask me!

Yeah, i have the loft bedroom so i can jump out the window and save myself! He did not want to hear my opinion that the stove pipe should be dismantled and cleaned. He said do you know how much trouble that is? Um, yeah we assembled the stove pipe in TN, remember? It did not seem all that bad to me.
