Just had dinner & dessert at T.G.I.F. - very good. Hadn't gone back for years the food was so crummy. Today it was good.

We do not have a TGIF very close to us here. I have been to one in Redding, California but it was years ago

One builder guy. Arrives at 10:30, leaves at 12:30. Drives an hour each way. What? I am thinking they will finish around Easter! Hubby thought they would finish by thanksgiving for sure.

You know it's been cold when 19 F seems comfortable. Thankfully there has been no wind the past two days.

Yuppppp!!! I was like "wow it's really warm today, maybe the weather was wrong" then of course after being out there a bit my hands started getting cold hah

our wind is gone the rain is for now it is not that cold. Lower lumbar my a** is giving me major pain took down the the tree household stuff tree is out but will leave outside till after the 1st

2.7 degrees F just now Sat. 5:31 pm, glad I shoveled snow last night when it was 15 degrees and no wind. I didn't think it was warm today so spent the earlier hours in bed with a few covers.

we will have dropping temps and dangerous wind chills through the NYholiday and beyond.
I haven't been on the senior bus for some time. Probably no one riding, we all have to worry about ice (falling) and frostbite and other hazards plus out of $$$$$ after too much extravagance.

Warmed up some -30 Now. Just 2 more days and then it's supposed to warm back up. A week from now we're supposed to be up to 0!!

Friday - how many animals did you have to board? That can definitely be pretty pricey.

Al - Toronto is a very sheltered city. Unlike across the lake (Rochester NY) there is no lake effect snow. Drive about an hour in any direction and it's a different story. The humidity there is what gets you. I did hear on the radio yesterday that it's supposed to be around -25 on new year's eve. The city has shortened the fireworks & show to about 15 min before midnight and 15 after so that people don't stay out in the cold too long. Ottawa has cancelled theirs altogether.

And i know about lake effect. Mom's family is from Erie and they just got like 5 feet of snow!!

It was 5 or even 3 last night. Think it warmed up to 20 today lol

And my brother and his friend are skiing in NH or VT and tomorrow the high is supposed to be -12!! Needless to say they're not going to ski tomorrow haha

Boston cream is my favorite!!

The one thing i craved when pregnant with my son John was Long John doughnuts! Which are boston cream. And John is the tallest in our family. No, hubby named him John Paul, not me.
