So why punish him with a coat
Not punishing him! He wants to be outside, but after 5 minutes he starts shivering! It is cold out there! I hate just getting started feeding and then i have to walk back to the house to put him in. Next thing i know, there he is again because he tells hubby he wants out. And he is back to shivering again. He will get used to it. I am going to cut off the hood and trim it back so it fits better. I also got him a sweater.
Poor dog grew up in FL , so no need to get him used to clothes there. My first dog grew up in NY. He refused to go out without a coat on when it was cold!

One city, Lynchburg, is about 50 minutes. Danville is about 40 or so depending which part of town. Altavista is about half an hour. Gretna is the closest town, about 20 minutes. I went to Danville today. Too bad it is Sunday since Restore and Builders Discount are closed. But i still got a lot of stuff and some great deals.

Wow lots of towns. Are they big?

There is sugar in muffins. They are are not a cake though.

This will change your life! If you have never made muffins then give these a try. You can also make lots of other types of muffins off of this recipe.

Your friends and family will think you are a culinary genius! This is a similar thing to the basic white sauce. With White Sauce, plain muffin with variations and some simple soup recipes you will be able make lots of amazing dinners, lunches, breakfasts....Sorry, I was channeling Gordon Ramsey there a little bit...without the cursing!

Plain Muffins

INGREDIENTS

2 cups white flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter

PREPARATION

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Butter muffin pans. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Add the egg, milk, and butter, stirring only enough to dampen the flour; the batter should not be smooth. Spoon into the muffin pans, filling each cup about two-thirds full. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes each.

Blueberry Muffins.
Use 1/2 cup sugar. Reserve 1/4 cup of the flour, sprinkle it over 1 cup blueberries, and stir them into the batter last.

Pecan Muffins.
Use 1/4 cup sugar. Add 1/2 cup chopped pecans to the batter. After filling the cups, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and more chopped nuts.

Whole-Wheat Muffins.
Use 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour and 1 cup white flour.

Date or Raisin Muffins.
Add 1/2 cup chopped pitted dates or 1/3 cup raisins to the batter.

Bacon Muffins.
Add 3 strips bacon, fried crisp and crumbled, to the batter.

Thanks for the recipe!!

My dad has made blueberry before but not in a while.

Ron, just send me your cook book and the bill!

He just hates the whole idea. But it has been so cold, he is shivering out there! He ran upstairs the first time i tried to put it on him!:gig

Lol my cat hates her harness and her sweaters.

Yeah, he doesn't like me because i cut his toenails, comb and bathe him. He hates my husband and protects me from him!

Awww poor baby. Gator has a thick coat but it's been teens and single digits and he can barely be outside before he's back at the door. And lately with the single digits he comes to the door and then hold his little paws up in the air while we unhook his rope lol

I have a lot of recipes in Drop Box. No cook book yet.

A project for retirement!

Danville and Lynchburg are big.
Charlie likes my kids, my friend in TN and anyone he gets to know. Prefers women.
