BYC Café

Thanks sour, I'm going for the afternoon coffee too

Sorry about the loss @FridayYet , that stinks. I haven't had a predator losses yet but I know it's just a matter of time...

I'm hoping to do a build in the spring too @Michelle Farmer-Brown ! I've got Buckeye chicks coming in the spring, though I'm sure they won't be as nice as yours. I wanted White Chanteclers but they weren't available, so I got Buff instead. I would have gotten partridge but wanted to be able to tell them apart from the other breeds a bit easier.

Because the breathing wasn't developed yet?

Are they just waiting for that to mature?

Or are there lots of other scary stuff too?

It is such a crazy roller-coaster with a premi.

As far as I know it's just the breathing issue, but like you mentioned there can always be more complications. They'll often keep NICU babies until 37wks to be sure that everything is ok. Maybe if everything is perfect from here on out he'll get to go home a bit early? But there's no way to know right now.

Cinnamon rolls, anyone?

Cut the grapevine way back and got the fencing up. You can't really see well, but the fence stopped at the grapevine and there were vines to the roof. That's where the hawk went through.

Had enough long vine sections to make a simple wreath for the garden gate.

Nice looking set up Friday. I hope you don't have any more problems.
