I worry a bit about raising my kids in a rural and very homogeneous location. But we have a city close by with at least some diversity (though it's come to my attention that there is some deep seeded racism to some degree as well), and then we take a trip to the mega city a couple times a year which allows another type of exposure and experience.


On the Olympic front, just found out the gold medal hockey game is at 11 pm tonight. Which is late. But it was sooo good last year I don't want to miss out!
I suppose I could watch it in the morning and make sure not to read anything online until I do

Absolutely...but positive exposure helps!

I'm raising my kid(s) to know love and do good in the world for themselves and others
Though all I've done so far is argue about food that needs to be eaten, the importance of wearing boots in the snow, and why pooing in the potty is a good idea
I'm getting a lot of attitude from my almost 3 yr old these days... is this 3 going on 13? With the ability to express himself with so much more complexity has come some strong opinions and defiance! Ah well, every stage has it's time.
