We may all need alternate power sources soon. Big storms knocking out the power grid seem to be increasing

I've discussed it with my husband. We haven't had too many problems where I live, but it's certainly a possibility pretty much anywhere these days.

We have a 500 gallon tank which is still at 40 % capacity. Unit appears to be quite efficient. My rough calculations indicate it can run full on for about 3 weeks off this tank - far longer if run more sparingly.

bet your happy to have the tank and generator still can be a tough haul at times

It is March, the month of snow dumps! Much snow and plowing and shoveling here.

More sun though, so the chickens are FINALLY laying eggs.

We've had a few days on snow which has been wonderful, because now it's a lot easier to haul sap back from the woods. Tomorrow is another sugaring off day; predicting a few degrees above freezing, partially sunny, and no horrendous wind, so that sounds perfect to me.

Little one gave me his cold, I've been feeling awful all day. Just remembered that I had chicken stock in the crockpot going for 24hrs now so I've got a mug of that and will be heading to bed soon!

I have a big glass storm window to use, just want to frame it so i can put hinges on.
