That's awesome! Did you have them as "pets" for lack of a better word or just working animals or? I love horses. I want to get one eventually but they seem expensive and like a lot of work.

well... I guess they were pets... since they sure didn't work.

I had horses as a kid... but this time around I had them for maybe 10 years, then decided it would be better to feed the human children .... only had enough money to feed one set of ravenous beasts.
 
I've been keeping the woodstove going. Even though it's been warmer in the house then it has all season (couldn't get the temp much past 18c this winter) but I'm feeling chilly lately which I think the damp and wind is to blame.

Feeling some relief tonight; it's been just me and the toddler since Sunday but DH is back home so I'm skipping the coffee and sitting down to have a glass of wine
