BYC Café

that they are...

sit in a chair with your cup of coffee and your feet up... ask him if he can run to the far wall like a bunny... then ask him to run back like an earthworm. .. then ask him to run to the far wall like a crab.. remind him he needs to squat and have pincers. Use an excited tone and he might keep it up for a full hour... and then either pass out from exhaustion, or at least be happy to sit still and play with blocks. :old

Too funny! I sure wish I would have gotten that advice when my 2 boys were little!

IMG_0638.JPG Making a little more progresss, I can even see a toe now too:clap. But I must admit that I have as much patience as a cooped up child. I can be patient for the time it takes to say "I have the patience of a saint" Then I am done :he I am fighting the urge to just get in there and crack that shell! DGD Named the Chick in the Egg Roseabella. I am fixin to call it CrackBaby cuz I lost my cool and cracked the Zip for her:eek:. But we are not changing the name just yet ;) So BYC Cafe is a better place for me to be than staring into the incubator:rant At least here I have my coffee and my hands are busy. The other egg I am not as worried about it only pipped the shell today. But that Saturday girl has got to be tired!:th

Go chick, go!:jumpy

Once these two come out, this hatch will be 4 fertile, 4 live hatched. :clap I am happy about that! The other 2 are doing great in the brooder and the 1st (Efil) is no longer trying to eat the 2nd (Kenchi):yesss: That is a good sign. If I had the room I would hatch all the time! I love the excitement! it is like an action movie in slow motion:pop:caf:fl:frow:clap

That is how I always did it, but my DD begged and begged for my good Broody hen. I gave in :smackRegretfully so now, as she was taken with the rest of DD flock by a bobcat.:hit:sick:hit. The hens I have now have the same patience as I do and unfortunately they let the babies develop to about day 8 or 10 then get off the nest and they die. So I borrowed DD incubator and decided to try it. I :loveLOVE :loveit! and I dare say DH does too as he surprised me yesterday at the feed store when he added a Farm Innovators Digital Incubator to the cart :clap:ya:celebrate:yesss::bun:wee:bowI had all that to say to him! And oddly People stare at you funny when you shout Special Favors in the middle of the farm store . I have said before that I have not slept since the kittens were brought over and that I dont even remember my own name anymore. So I was even too tired to be embarrassed by my mindless vocalizations :D:confused: I mean who offers to scrub the floors and polish the knobs in public :duc

No. You may have TMJ going on in your jaw.

I think I do because I also have the clicking and headaches but I hope not :/

I think I might also have arthritis and/or carpal tunnel or something in my hands/fingers and wrists.

Try not worrying so much about what you currently eat and add some things to your diet.

Read labels and go for high fiber compared to sugar in what you buy. Then try eating something with good bacteria each day. Plain yogurt with a bit of honey for example. Kimchi, sour kraut and goat kifir.

Do try to eat a vegetable or salad each day too.

Often the reason we crave sugar is because we have a candida overload. The sugar feeds it and you gut bacteria have a strong effect on your hunger and cravings.

The goal is to get rid of the over load of candida and to change the gut bacteria to one that wants you to eat good food.

Thanks! I never thought of the candida thing. How do you get rid of it?

I find that when I am feeling overwhelmed or like I need something to give I eat more and not good foods. I started doing crock pot meals and freezing them in single serving size bags. that way I just pull out one bag of healthy food just like the Hungryman stuff only better for me. easy peasy and can be done one day a week or one day a month depending on your schedule and desire to load the freezer up. You can also freeze water melon ( I freeze the rinds for summer treats for my Ladies. Oh and also the insides of the Halloween pumpkins from the GrandChildrens punkins freeze for treats and dont end up in DD trash:clap) Most left overs can be frozen in single serving sizes.

Good Luck and stop punishing yourself for your eating it only takes your focus off what you are trying to do.

Thanks, this is really helpful. Freezing meals is a great idea! And thanks for the nice words

Hey @KDOGG331 , can you order this book? The Healthy College Cookbook
I had the original (1999), so I can't speak to the updates, but I highly recommend trying a few recipes to get into some cooking. Seriously. Do it! :)

I decided today that I would try to cut out sugar for a bit - I might go buy some dark chocolate (70%+) to help ease into it and set a very strict limit. I just found myself gorging and stress eating way too much. I stopped buying goodies from the store, but my cravings were so strong I'd breakdown and make something from scratch.

@Alaskan There's a song we do where he goes to "sleep" and wakes up as a different animal each time; hoping, flying, running etc. I should have done that or your suggestion but I just didn't think of it . As it was, we survived the day :) Though the whole week is supposed to be crummy weather! (I hear spring might arrive on Saturday)

Thank you, I just ordered that book along with a fleece tug for the dog!

Speaking of which, I have got to start making things. Do you have any idea how much money I could make? Especially pet products haha

Update on that sugar thing; I've just arrived at a friend's to do some babysitting for an hour and I have been offered pizza, cookies and chips. Heaven help me I'm going to cave! :barnie:th

Aw no :(

I'm torn between "start tomorrow?" And "try to stay strong, it's only an hour!" :lau :hugs
