The Kmart here had a garden center too.

It depends on the store size with placed if they have a garden center or not. The Target here is one size below a super target. It has some food but not much. There is a place for a garden center but they closed it off after a couple of years and use it for storage now

I dont think out kmart does but our target has a pretty big food section and a cafe and they have a garden section in the back but it's just like seeds and furniture and stuff and inside not outside. Our Wal-Mart has a big garden section

We dont have a KMart close by. WalMart has a garden center, but most things here should be planted in the fall to prepare for summer heat. And that is when they change from live plants to plastic Christmas trees.

I would really like some grapevines. My mom had some that were bitter. But they made the best jam and Grape juice! I wish I knew what they were.

The first 2 chicks are doing well View attachment 1344169

After 49 hours I gave in a let DH take the shell off the top of the one egg. She was still not done. I put her in a plastic cup lined with antibiotic cream (no pain reliever) and an moist cotton ball she is sleeping but still breathing. View attachment 1344172 She is inside the container inside the incubator.

And at 5pm here the last chick pushed out of her shell. She is tired and i will post pics when she gets moving, dried off and cute View attachment 1344174

I am having fun but also learning alot! especially how to search on this site again lol. The Chick in the container may not make it. but I know which containers to have clean and handy and that I need more ointment. I hope she makes it I cleaned her up and put her in a new container she is pooping and breathing but not moving much and just seems lifeless otherwise. The last chick doesnt seem to be moving about like the 1st 2 did but it is pushing itself around and chirping so we are praying for her also. I think it may be incubation mistakes and mishaps so I will read and read and then read some more before I set a new batch, I mean after the halfway through I already did. It is a good thing I have plenty of coffee on hand! I have also decided no more foster kitties or puppies I am getting to old for that I think and the schedule has taken away from my chicken joy!

Have you checked out the recycling in the coop thread? lots of cool ideas there! Might even have some ideas for the Broody house on it.

Sadly the chick in the cup did not make it. I will have a small funeral for her and bury her in my flower garden.

I tried a thread on emergencies, but with the kitten schedule and all I have not been able to be on line to see responses. I am going to read more! and I am still enjoying the experience.

Each hatch can be a great learning experience!

Sorry you lost one. when they have to go into the teacup it is a dicey save for them.
