Good morning everyone, come get your coffee & tea!
Tree sorry about the loss of a chick. Hopefully little one knows now why it's not a good idea to let the dog out.
He knew; it was an accident - he wasn't able to stop her coming in the room I assume. Just wish DH had been paying more attention!
Noooooo
When I got up to go pee this morning, he went downstairs and accidentally let the dog in and we lost a chick.
Thank goodness they wear themselves out quickly and nap a lot.G'morning all,
Thanks for the coffee!
Having a puppy is like having a 2 year old with razor teeth. In to everything and all over the place like a little tornado. Got him to take a nap and had to sneak out of the room so I can get stuff done!
Hope everyone has a great day![]()
Awww poor LO. Is he really upset?Oh for sure, it was only one (of course I'm pretty sure it was the breed I only had two of). I lost 6 last year due to various things, but the only time I get really really upset is when it's because of our dog. When it's preventable I get a little crazy.
What happened was LO had crawled into bed with us early this morning. I got up to go pee (and then check on chicks), while I was doing that LO left the room and went downstairs. Dog was downstairs but the room to the chicks is locked - but not toddler-proof.
DH says he didn't realize the LO had left the room. *sigh* Oh well, mostly I'm kicking myself because I saw this happening and didn't do enough to prevent it.
As I was walking down the stairs I hear "Bella got in and hurt the chicks. Bella hurt the chicks". He had been careful yesterday about the dog - but she's a big dog.
