BYC Café

so at my place yesterday morning: dead grass still, and the ice sheet on the pond only now broke up.

And I forgot to mention I had lost another one overnight. Seemed pretty small to me; I know within the first few days genetics kick in and the weaker ones don't make it. But I still hate seeing it first thing in the morning. And then I'm constantly checking for chicks laying down - I'll just stare them down till they get up and move again.
Hopefully everyone is well in the morning. I do notice a couple other small chicks so I hope they make it.

Keeping my fingers crossed and sending best wishes that all are ok Tree! :fl
