And I forgot to mention I had lost another one overnight. Seemed pretty small to me; I know within the first few days genetics kick in and the weaker ones don't make it. But I still hate seeing it first thing in the morning. And then I'm constantly checking for chicks laying down - I'll just stare them down till they get up and move again.
Hopefully everyone is well in the morning. I do notice a couple other small chicks so I hope they make it.

Your second set of pics look more like our current spring, Al. I like the pond but our lakes are free of ice with all kinds of critters using them.

Need coffee..., our nothing snow has turned into something overnight that canceled school and DS$ isn't here to celebrate. LOL! Now that is funny!
I now, however, have 6 pans of cinnamon rolls...

Grandson was starting pitcher yesterday and pitched 5 innings of shutout ball - I wasn't there , but the Princess was. Team won 8 to 3. Saturday is the semi finals of an intercounty tournament. They are playing about 3 miles from here against the school our kids graduated from. Who to root for ?
