My mom passed Christmas day in 1999. I still miss her every day and dad passed Jan 3, 2000 that was tough. I was closed to both of them I cared for them for 12 years before they passed. I moved them across the street so I could be close to them.
I know exactly what your talking about. Took care of both my parents for 20 years before they passed. Moved close to mine then in the final few years, moved in with them, both needed 24hr care. My Dad passed away 1 week before my Birthday! That was really tough! but so was my Mom's passing. There's still so many things I wish I could talk to them about. And I miss talking in my native language with my Dad! They took care of me....I took care of them.

Good morning, Café.

Yeah, it's weird, i seem to be thinking about her more the more time passes.. i guess that's good though i guess, wouldn't wanna forget. Except that I've also been feeling more like guilty

And aw I'm sorry :( :hugs

For me it'll be 3 years in September

My mom passed away Dec. 1st 2002, went in hospital Thanksgiving Day! I gave her a heart pendant many years ago, had the inscription "Everyday", cause I thought about her everyday. And still do!

My mom passed July 12,1996 I don't stop missing her.

deedee, My Mom's birthday was July 12th - gives us another connection. I'll be thinking of your Mom every 7/12.

Although I miss my parents, when I think of them now it is not so much a sense of loss as it is a pleasant memory of good times or incidents. This brings a smile to my face rather than a tear. :love

Morning! That's for the coffee :) I'm taking it easy this morning; it's raining and I don't feel a rush to do anything today. Little one is playing nicely so I'm going to take advantage of that and relax a little!

Sorry, couldn't really catch up on everything, but I did a quick skim and it seems like everyone is doing well and busy?

My parents were up for a few days so didn't get on the computer at all. They're going to be moving 10 mins from my place in the fall (vs the 5+ hours they are now).
My Dad brought me trays of starter plants :yesss: so hopefully I'll have a thriving garden going in the next couple months.

Hey @007Sean , my last job was in environmental consulting. I've kept my eye out for a new position since we moved but I only want part-time had haven't found anything.

Yep, it's a tough field, job market isn't what it use to be...wish you luck in finding a position!

Harder to compete for specialty fields for sure (if I want a job in retail, restaurant, or cleaner there's plenty!).
But mostly it's the part-time holding me back. I want time to work on the farm and a full time position (especially outdoor work increases in the summer) would kind of take that away.
My expertise is in GIS (maps), but I did regular tech stuff too (water samples mostly). I did a tiny bit of air sampling, but my job was to compile the data afterwards and make wind rose graphs.
