BYC Café

2 of mine look almost dead. One looks a little dry. Hoping they perk up. Hard to water cause they soil underneath the top layer mostly stays like bone dry :/
My dad used to dig a hole and bury a big jumbo juice can with holes in the bottom . Then pour water in the can and it gets down to the roots.

I have done the bury the can thing by trees, I fill them with rocks so they drain faster than the hard dirt I was trying to get through. Also a good way to recycle odd / larger cans.

Still getting flash showers here today, they are very welcome!

I have started freezing different size plastic bottles of water to put in water pans and pools this summer.

Hope everyone has a great day. Stay cool, stay dry ;)

Looks good.

It's been overcast and raining off and on here today.
My veggies might perk back up yet.

Got a late start on my garden this year, but I am now watering with duck water :clap

But it's still very young.

My youngest son said he would help me make a sleeping apartment for my new Muscovy Drake Wally Waggs.
Kinda what I was thinking but it is not really coming together the way I hoped it would.

Any help ideas or input would be hugely appreciated. I do not want to spend any money just use what I have. image.jpeg

the idea is to let him see the hen and ducklings, but not be able to chase his off spring one is chased more than the other I think it's a drakeling. Calling him Waldo Waggles. He is very afraid of Wally and hides. :( so I want him to get his resting time but I also want Wally to be safe. Right now they are all 4 in the pen at night.
I do plan to put chicken wire and more boards on the skid / pallets and I have odd boards and such for the roof. Oh and I don't want to take out the tree. :fl
