I woke up 6:42 pm (now) have no idea when I went to bed. Sometimes I have to check my posts to see but, I also watched another episode of "Luke Cage," on Netflix so who knows.

Never have been to my class reunions! I didn't particular like most of the peeps in my class. Because I lived in the country, I was a "country bumkin", and looked down upon, they thought they were the upper crust of society because they lived in town. They all acted like spoiled rich kids and little did they know my parents could have bought most of their homes out right, cash money.
Never went to proms, either.
After graduation I went on to college and traveled all over the world. Most of them have barely left the county and some haven't even gone out of the town....sad.

They asked my brother onetime why I didn't come to the reunions. He told them exactly what I told him to say: "I never liked you people back then, what makes you think I would now?"
I just had a different mind set than most of them did, I couldn't wait to graduate and get the heck outta Dodge! There was a huge new world to explore and I was going to explore it to the fullest.

Your story & mine are almost exactly the same. HS was just a passing through point until I could get out and do my own thing. Never went back (or looked back).
