So sorry everyone :hit

I lost my Dad 4 days before I was to leave for college I was 15 the worst day of life up until I lost Ma this last year

So sorry penny. But I must ask... you went to college at 15!?

Can't "like" that Cap. My grandmother had Alzheimers, for about 15 years before she passed at 102 yrs. ....couldn't recognize anyone, not even her only son. So sad.

15 years!? That must have been awful

My father had dementia (I guess they don't know if it's Alzheimers unless they do an autopsy. But,he didn't know had a wife,a son, daughters. Which means he was nice to me then. He had a lot of head injuries before hand because he was totally reckless. Had pneumonia many times and then nursing home would call and say he recovered. He recovered so many times we thought he would do it again. But the last one WAS the last one. So it came as a real shock. The doctor said they forget how to swallow so keep getting aspiration pneumonia. He still held on till he was 90.

So sorry dd

Thats sad dd, yeah, the doc's seem to want to call it dementia instead of Alzheimer's.
They also think that Aluminum cookware has something to do with both afflictions. My grandmother cooked with aluminum pots and pans most of her life.

Now this is scaring me! Lol

Aw I'm sorry Sour. I had only one grandfather(mom's side) my father's mom outlived 3 husbands(I didn't like her and suspect she poisoned them) they were gone before I was born.

My mom's mother, I was crazy about, she had a great sense of humor, especially if someone fell or she saw a funny hat or something. She'd laugh till tears ran down her leg. And then laugh at that. My mother(her daughter) had NO sense of humor and was plenty vicious if you laughed at any thing she did wrong.
