I am sorry you lost them!I do like them. My birds are mutts with the NN gene to varying degrees, I have 2 black girls and my roo. I've been told the plucking is much easier because they have fewer feathers and in our heat they seem to do better than the rest of my flock so I'm phasing the others out. I hate to see animals suffer and I lost my 2 blue Australorps over the summer. Way too much fluff and it was a really hot summer.
As for their appearance, I love it. They're not your every day chicken![]()
So I'm guessing it would be too cold up here in WY to have the NN's? Maybe I could learn to knit and make them scarves for winter.
