I was thinking much the same.
I'm sure between the 2 of us, she'd be racking up the frequent flyer miles!

That's very nice. Would love to have something similar but would probably attract water moccasins down here. This is the first pond we built. It is the feature I miss most about that house. It is what we will be replicating at our new house.

Ours attracted herons, red-tailed hawks and snappers. That's very nice. Would love to have something similar but would probably attract water moccasins down here.

We lost several fish to the hawk.
I pulled many baby snappers out of our skimmer and the water fall area.
We caught a much larger snapper lumbering towards the pond one day. After some very careful leach removal, he got relocated to the creek about 1 mile up stream.
I think we'll have lots of turtles in the new pond if this guy is any indication. I took this picture in the neighbor's driveway across the road from us.
You should try Virginia, i love it here! Not right now, but I have dreams and desires I want to move out of the heat island, I dislike street lights and we can't see the stars with all the light pollution. I hate it here, but it's where we are for now.
I had a similar pond in FL. Dug it mostly myself. 13'x13' and 3 feet deep in the deep end, only 1 foot deep in the shallow end.And maybe when you get done sorting Shad out, you can come help me
Beautiful pond! It looks like it must have been a very relaxing place to unwind at the end of a busy day.
I had more trouble with herons. They will even spear fish too big for them to swallow! That's very nice. Would love to have something similar but would probably attract water moccasins down here.
