BYC Café

Good morning Cafe.
Thanks for the coffee, Shad!
The trips yesterday were a success and I'm glad I got it all over with in one day for it has begun:

I just heard the first salt truck go by. It's hard to see in the picture but it is snowing that fine steady stuff that just keeps coming.
We've got to fill the wood stacks in the house and clean out the stove then we're all set!

Tonya, I've been seeing reports of the incoming east coast weather...stay warm & safe! Pretty picture.

We got some snow late yesterday then it stopped. Now it's really coming down! Best keep that coffee pot full

It looks lovely.
Having problems with firewood here. Just can't cut enough to keep up with demand.
Had some delivered. The occupants of the main house went and bought some.
Despite exhaustive explanations of the moisture content in wood and how it effects the thermal energy available they've had a pile (2 tonnes) of green wood delivered.:he
They'll find out the hard way when they toss it into the stove and it starts to spit and steam and they are still no warmer. Bet they won't do that again!
We purchase our wood in the spring of one year and don't burn it until the second winter. Of course, the house is so small (only 1160 sq ft) that we only burn about 1.5 cords per year and that includes the KD pallet scrap we get.
I really love our stove. It is a Blaze King Ashford 20. It is very efficient.

Morning! Just a dusting of snow here. Shad, they have a good start on next year if they let it sit, at least. I am working on splitting next season's firewood and getting it stacked to sell. DH is good for about an hour but only if the neighbor(s) don't stop by for a chat...
Thanks for the coffee and breakfast! Good luck with the storm, Tonya and Sour!

The flu is a bit short for ideal operation but it works.

Goodmorning café. Thanks for the coffee and porridge Shad. Reminds me of the old children's rhyme. Pease porridge hot, pease porridge cold, pease porridge in the pot nine days old.

It rhymed through my head too. :lau
