I had guard turkeys at onetime. The UPS driver told all my neighbors, "nevermind about the Great Danes, just look out for his turkeys!"

I've heard some geese are good for that too!

A friend of mine in FL had a couple of guard donkeys. She said things could get past the dogs that the donkeys would immediately pick up on.

Not showering for 3 days may keep the Princess away too

Both have happened already. When Hurricane Sandy hit and we were without power for going on 2 weeks the Princess refused to cuddle after 3 days. As for the back, the Princess just called me to come out and hear something stupid that Rudy Guiliani just said, and my back screamed as I got out of the computer chair.

me too Margie. Thank you. We haven't had a really bad winter for some time now, so we are overdue and paying for it now. Hope to stock up on food to last awhile. The bad thing about not getting out - is a part from BYC just have food(hopefully ) to amuse me.

Having a lot of trouble sleeping at night - too many wake ups & bad dreams. I may borrow the dream catcher in my son's room (he won't be out here again for months) but, I am afraid I will dis-connect it's power. It has absolutely worked for him since he was in a crib. The place that sold them probably out of business by now - that was 30 years ago.

I got given a dream catcher many years ago. It came from Australia and was supposed to be made by the Aborigines.

Good morning, Café, and thanks Shad. 46 F and foggy here very little snow remains. Supposed to drop to 15 F tonight and single digits and significant wind chills tomorrow. They've been wrong so far so we'll see.

My grandkids and their parents will be heading up to NJ the 26th, they are hoping for some snow for sledding.
