BYC Café

Good morning Sour, how are you doing so far today?

Starting slow this morning, Debby. Princess just got up, and when she is ready we will go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Then it's to the club for me and to town for the Princess. Later it's Super Bowl party time. The Princess, me, and Jersey Mike's subs. :lau

I read and reviewed both of them some time ago. Excellent stuff.
I love how people ever thought that the escort call was a celebratory egg song. Talk about anthropomorphising!

I've got mine shut into the run trying to get Lucy to lay in the main coop instead of the isolation coop. I haven't heard a peep out of any of them yet I keep finding eggs?!

My girls will all sing together in the coop :idunno

@Shadrach, I rarely venture into the 'Articles', but just went there because of you. Your observation and ability to transmit through the written word never disappoint. Well done.
Thanks for reviewing the articles Mr sourland. It seems not many of the educators do read them. I suppose once you've been here a while and read yet another how I built my coop article it's easy to lose interest.
I really like the article section. It was what made me join BYC eventually. There are some excellent articles written but in general the better article imo are on researched health matters.

Of course they are! You're an excellent author with keen observations and provide educational information that helps all chicken owners understand their flocks better and enable them to become better care takers.
I'm off to have a read.
Thank you DL. It's very kind of you to say so.:)

Morning people, have to dash out and persuade ice on the driveway to go elsewhere. It's 45.7F :wee thought it would have been gone by now. I love your articles Shad have to go check later to see if you've added any new ones.

How big is the woodchuck?
Big ugly things that will eat your whole garden! My Dad had one raiding his garden and he poured gas down the hole and lit a match! Blew him off his feet and burned off his eyebrows. Duh Dad, not a great idea.

I did that! Oh boy did THAT hurt! The Phillips tip went almost all the way through the thumb nail. Once I finish the hole and got the blood out, it felt much better.
Yeah, that tip is pointy! I just grabbed a paper towel and held pressure on it. Then finished the job. Luckily it only got the edge of my thumb so no bones or nails involved.

I've got some good clothes from another life which I just don't wear anymore but can't bear to throw out. Totally impractical for my current circumstances.
Work type clothes, I just abuse. If they're not made well they're in tatters within weeks.
My work clothes commonly have holes and paint all over. Sometimes i have to look hard to find something to wear to town!

Good grief! both my competition articles are in the featured section now.
Looking at the Members Articles section, they have both received the most reviews and are on the first page for rating!:celebrate
Yes, I am pleased. The whole point of writing such articles is for them to be read.
Congrats!
