BYC Café

Thanks for the link. That's a thread I don't follow so didn't see it. So sorry about your girl.
I was going to drop you PM about it later.
Thanks you for your kind words on the other thread.:hugs
I posted because the thread I would normally post such topics on 'Is it better to let them die@ is pretty old now. I also wanted to show how I bury the dead chickens here. It's no a topic that often gets mentioned let alone photographed.:)

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is on the stove.
Just below freezing overnight here.
Blue sky and sunshine now.
Grave digging this morning.

Sorry about your girl, Shad. :hugs It was a very sweet send off.

Makes me feel just a teeny bit bad about leaving my two girls far away in a field for someone to make a meal out of. I hate to see a life wasted.

That whole "better off dead" thing is easy enough to say when it's someone else's animal. I liked finding out the magnolia info and using it for Dink was very appropriate. You show a lot of empathy and respect for all your animals. Isn't it amazing how they are all unique? That's part of what makes losing one difficult.

@Shadrach, Sorry to hear of the loss. Nice send off. I agree with @N F C, that whole thing about "better off dead". I've had pheasants live 7 years with wry neck. Yeah, I probably should have put them down but "who am I, to play Creator?" May not have been the best of life but at least it was life.

Right on Sean :highfive:

And isn't it really a personal decision? MYOB is what I say.
