I haz curry paste
Someone bought me down some jars of curry paste fron an Indian shop in Barcelona.
Off down the market in the morning to get stuff to CURRY!

Oh, shrimp curry on rice! Yum! Lamb too, dont know which is better Luck you!

In general the food here is good. I don't buy meat from the shops but I do eat the occasional chicken from here and wild boar that the local hunters kill.
Veg here is generally excellent and so surprisingly is the frozen fish.
What you can't get unless you go into Barcelona is the usual imports that I used to find easily in the UK.

I can’t rely on the stores here in Indiana for good food since I live way out in the country. So far out that I actually live in a national forest. Our closest Walmart is 35 minutes away and our closest general store is 25 minutes. I am not about to drive that far for food.

Yup, sounds familiar. I live in a National Park halfway up a mountain.

So I just got around to checking my traps and both roads are flooded around me. Not only did Plummer creek flood but the unnamed stream a few miles east did too. I am an island

We usually do. We get our beef and pork from the Amish.

Nice! I want to be more self sufficient or sustainable or whatever but I don’t think I’m quite ready yet. I do have chickens for eggs and grow my own vegetables but I also still eat tons of processed foods and rarely even eat vegetables or cook we have a ton of stores and restaurants and all kinds of things super close to hear so I usually still eat junk or eat out or whatever. Like I go to Subway, Panera Bread, Five Guys, etc. a lot and/or eat sandwiches. I think I’m too used to having so much here. I think I need to start eating more veggies and cooking more first hah

So, I noticed that Ocho the rooster had some red on his legs yesterday. Thought I would soak him in some Epsom salts and warm water to clean him up so I can see what was going on with the feet and legs turning red. I don't know if any of y'all have ever seen a rooster fall asleep in a spa bath, but mine did. He was too relaxed I had to hold him up cuz his wings were dropping down into the water. And his Beak was just about resting in his spa bath!

It was pretty funny because first he thought it was bad torture. But the next thing you know he's nodding, his eyes are closed and he just about passed out in the bath. Turns out I think he just really is getting hormonal! I read up on it and it seems like that's what's happening, I see no sign of scaly leg Mite or any other injuries that might cause the redness.

Feel free to weigh in on this if you think I should be looking for a problem, otherwise I'm assuming that he just has hormones and he's turning red because of that.

That does happen this time of year! Hormones can change the leg color

Well, it did rain; on the next mountain, in the village a couple of miles away, a bit on the mountain directly in front of the house.
So if you have been having a word with Mother Nature @CapricornFarm could you mention she needs to use a map with coordinates and this random pissing in the general area just isn't hacking it.
I think I'll speak to Sean, the old spirits seem more reliable.
