Hello Cafe, checking in from the East. 84° here today, waiting for wind and rain to hit. Been working on getting the chores done, sweating a lot.

It seems to be pretty smart as well. Almost made it up the coop ramp at roost time on its own.

So I rescued a nice sized yellow bellied slider today! I was on my way to Walmart when I seen it on the road so I stopped and got out (along with a tape measure because science!) and moved it in the direction it was going. 9 3/4 inches! Such a big boy! Probably weighed 5lbs.

The Cafe was a hopping place today! Just got home from work...my feet are wore out (or as some would say "my dogs are barking")...

I just found out this may be the last few days we have the boys. It's bittersweet. I'll miss seeing my daughter regularly. Won't miss fighting over chores and homework.

A bittersweet change for you IM, you've been so close to them. But as Becca so wisely said, now you can be the fun grandma

Yeah I helped him across the road. He was a him too. Checked for that distinctive divot on the carapace.
