No apologies need. I think most of of us have similar feelings about our animals.

Actually Sour is quite a dog lover, I know he loves the Pugs in his own way. If something should happen to them, his daughter will get more.![]()
Surrounding you and your boy Meaty with prayer and positive energy through his dental work! Your vet sounds very knowledgeable and thorough, and that is encouraging to me! We will be waiting for news of a positive outcome! Both brilliant ideas!!!I'm definitely keeping these in my cache of tricks for any future 'Julia Child: Baking in the Twilight Zone' episodes.
My friends came. I made them park outside of my property & soaked the soles of their shoes in Lysol before they could come thru the gate. They dont have chickens & I'm sure they think I'm insane, but we've been friends since the 2nd grade & this is probably not the weirdest thing I've made them do.We had a huge laugh over the mutant cake, but ate it anyway & it was delicious. Lots of leftovers, so help yourselves.
Oh geeze!
I'm sorry you have to wait until August to get this handled.I understand the worry. I'm bringing my beloved Meatball in tomorrow morning for a full dental extraction. I've put the surgery off because pugs don't do well with anesthesia & Meaty has had reactions to everything the vets have ever given him. His teeth are infected & if I put it off any longer he will go septic. The vet flat out told me, "If you do the surgery, he might die. If you don't do the surgery he will die." The vet knows I don't do my dental work thru them, so its not like she was trying to upsell me anything. She was giving it to me straight & I'm a stressed mess! I've been surrounded by animals my whole life & I've adored everyone of them with my whole heart. Meaty trumps them all. He's been my constant companion these past 12yrs, never leaving my side & is the love of my life. Any good thoughts, prayers, &/or positive energy you might want to throw his way would be greatly appreciated!

Any time a loved one gets put under, it is scary! Thanks! We've had a full extraction on one of our other pugs 'The Fanged Monkey' (their teeth are not lined up like a normal K9 & are notorious for going bad.) It was a difficult recovery for Fang & he had the benefit of being younger & didn't have the mental/physical issues that Meaty does.
I cant help feeling like I'm driving him to the gallows tomorrow.I'm realizing that if an eternal optimist steps onto the side of pessimism, it will feel like living in a darkness so black that not even the brightest light will be able to penetrate.
I'm probably bumming you guys out… I'm sorry.
Within 5 minutes of posting my morning greeting and update the vet called to tell me that they will not be doing Fuji's surgery. Her EKG indicated arrhythmias and PVCs and she needs to see a cardiologist. I asked the Dr. to get me an appointment at Cornell for her. Three of my Dobermans have had DCM so I am no stranger to canine cardiology issues. I just don't expect them with a min pin.

No bad moods or sadness are allowed when Frank is around. He does his best to make sure.
Pets just have a 'way' about them, don't they.![]()
