Take it from me Tonya, you don't want to be sliding on plywood...that's how I fell and broke my hip! ;) :(
I've fallen three times. Thankfully, I didn't do anything as bad as that.
I'm so sorry that you've had so many problems with injuries! :hugs Do you want me to come down and put in a few walkways for you too?

Thanks for the offer...but this plywood was down by my pens. I had to walk back to the house (about 100 yards) there is no walk way, just a goat trail. :lau

Mornin', y'all!:frow

@007Sean Jeepers, cheepers! And look at the legs on them thangs - you can sure tell they ain't chickens! Congrats, and happy hatching vibes!:fl

@DobieLover seems to me that the walkway is a "need" rather than a "want." Slipping on mud-slick plywood could put you out of the action, which you really can't afford to have happen.:hugs

Mentioning action, last night was the last performance for the Theater IV class. It was a short play (only about 30 minutes); the hurricane-interrupted school year having played havoc with the schedule, they only had a very short time to work on it. They done good, though - going out with a bang . . . or perhaps a scream would be more appropriate? The play was a lighthearted piece called "The Hallmarks of Horror," and was a showcase of the things that turn up in scary movies. BB2K had about 5 minutes to change into a Killer Clown; I just wish I had gotten a pic while she still had the wig on . . . .

"Does anyone else think it suddenly got cold in here?"

Good morning, Café. @DobieLover - take care of the caretaker. :hugs
Thanks, Sour. I'm trying to. That is why I irresponsibly started working on the new coop and run instead of my house and my mother's house. The chickens are my biggest form of relaxation and stress relief. I think I'd just have a complete breakdown if I didn't have at least that. I have no one to help me.

Treacle has been trying out his hackle flash today. You can just tell he thinks it’s really cool.
He had a half hearted go with his mum Mel yesterday. She was not impressed. Treacle just got his feathers down when mum went for him; full on off the ground feet flying. Treacle ran into the nearest clump of bushes and hid while Mel stood outside shouting at him.
He sneaked up behind Fat Bird this morning and gave what even I must admit was a very handsome and intimidating flash. Fat bird looked at Treacle as if to say you’re joking right and gave him a swift peck on the head.
Treacle came into the house for a rethink and a bit of advice. He sidled up to me and gave my foot a gentle peck as he does when he wants picking up so I sat him on my lap for a bit where he groomed his feathers complaining that this being a rooster business is more difficult than he thought.
He’s got spur ache apparently and Ruffles won’t clean up the peck scabs on his crown. The other roosters just chase him away if he wanders to close to another tribe and dad won’t let him get into any fights, just sends back to keep an eye on the hens.
Growing up is difficult.

Move out here DL, I'll help.:hugs
