Funny Story, I went out with the sax player in front of me in the picture when I was a Freshman in College for a date.

I do not know what I did but She would not go out on a second one! Broke my heart.

I did wind up marrying a girl from the Gold band though. It will be 37 years on July 17th

Awesome! Congratulations to you both. Do you have plans? You do know longevity like that is pretty darn rare?

This year will be a dinner somewhere. I am sure the 40th will be a big deal though

I imagine a bit of normalcy might be a bit of a relief from all the generic sympathy or people dodging the topic. Thanks to you too for being so nice and everything.

Anyway, wow so older than I thought but also younger haha so either you got married young or your mom had you young or both? You were what? 24? That’s not that young I guess considering some people get married at like 18 or 20 and I’m always like haha but I guess it’s just young to me because I turned 25 in March and I can’t imagine getting married or having kids now haha I figured you were like my age aha

I was 24 for a few short weeks! Our boys (my stepsons) are 19 and 21.

And normalcy is good, but not so normal everyone forgets if that makes any sense. No one saying something is generic, it's a bit courageous really. We all have our own ways of dealing with things.

And that definitely makes sense. And that’s good at least!! And sorry. I didn’t mean that in a rude way or that anyone here was doing that or anything. I just meant that I’m sure it must get kind of old hearing all the standard stuff after a while so talking about normal stuff sometimes is probably a bit of a change of pace

My parents were married for 55 plus years before my mother died.

My sister was married for almost 50 yrs. Her husband died 4 days before their anniversary.

All this chat about food has made me hungry.
Rabbit pie with a puff pastry top and thick gravy has got to be one of my favorites.
I rarely visit a butchers here so I don't know what meat cuts they sell. You used to be able to buy shin from a good butcher in the UK and it was better tasting and far cheaper than stewing steak.
