I have already started on the proper antibiotic, and somehow have been eating some of the stuff that helps. So just rest asap and carry on I guess.

Did he put you on Doxycycline ? I have been treated twice, and that is what either cleared or put the spirochetes into 'remission'. I have not tested positive since the second treatment. Still ache and pain, but I think that's just :old. Good luck with the treatment and be sure to take probiotics/yogurt, whatever as the antibiotics can kill the good bugs in your gut. Good luck.

PS - about 48 hours after initiating treatment the aches and pains increased. Doctor assured me that was a reaction to the antibiotic killing the spirochetes and them releasing toxins into my system. This only lasted a couple of days.

Most people recover from what I read so it's feasible that you'll feel better but I too wonder how long you've had it. So happy you're getting treatment though! Hope you feel better soon :hugs

Yes, that is the antibiotic he put me on. I have been taking it since he prescribed it. So a few days now. He didn't wait for the test results to treat me.

Thank you, glad I got him to test me.

Frankie and Abbazabba say hello.

Fabio hasn't acted out at me at all since I stopped working with the chop and table saws and pneumatic nailer. He even tolerated me putting the gutter up on the back of the run. He just follows me around and watches me. He still won't let me groom him like he did a few times. He just gives me those half-hearted pecks like "don't touch me!"

I saw DH on the run camera yesterday. When he walked through the door, Fabio did his puff up shoulder drop, herding routine with him. DH seemed oblivious to it. He had an apple core with him and plopped down in one of the chairs and the hens and Fabio instantly surrounded him. Amelia and Sissy kept jumping up to try to steal the core. DH broke off pieces of it and hand fed Fabio and he would drop them for the girls. I think I saw him eat one or two pieces.

If I tried that, he'd likely peck me. Sexist ass.
Huh, that's pretty interesting. Just a man's man, ay? Did he act cuckoo before you started construction? He's so darn pretty!

I have a Wyandotte rooster that has a nasty 'tude on him, as well. Never had a problem till this fella, but he's getting a little better as he ages. Just 1.5 yrs now. I hoped my big lovely SS roo was going to line him out when he decided to move to that coop but I think he was too old. Then he was taken by a dog. He was 8yrs old and I still have his brother who's also very docile but cares more about being picked up than the other did. Not that I pack my chickens around, just for doctoring and such.

Hey okay was gone early back into town but home now coops cleaned need to feed dogs @CapricornFarm so happy you got a answer at least you know the monster
Yes, and am on treatment for it. That is half the battle.

I had three episodes prior to the construction where he flogged me. Once when I was taking his picture and twice when I was using the cordless driver. So I guess I had early warning construction was going to irritate him.
He certainly did seem to lose his noodle when I started on the coop.
But we've both learned a lot through the experience and I think we'll work things out. Even if he never got any nicer with me than he is now, I'd be fine with that. He's not attacking me anymore. But I'm still going to work with him.
