Turns out I was right getting the Dr. to test me for Lyme Disease. Positive test result.
Can't like this post but glad you found out and are getting treated. :hugs

I had three episodes prior to the construction where he flogged me. Once when I was taking his picture and twice when I was using the cordless driver. So I guess I had early warning construction was going to irritate him.
He certainly did seem to lose his noodle when I started on the coop.
But we've both learned a lot through the experience and I think we'll work things out. Even if he never got any nicer with me than he is now, I'd be fine with that. He's not attacking me anymore. But I'm still going to work with him.
That's fantastic he isn't attacking now. Nice work. Obviously your persistence with him is paying off :clap

don't like that ron. Think season 3 had a lot of episodes- CRS- hate to think of waiting a year or so for the next ones.
They do go a long time between seasons!

Fabio hasn't acted out at me at all since I stopped working with the chop and table saws and pneumatic nailer. He even tolerated me putting the gutter up on the back of the run. He just follows me around and watches me. He still won't let me groom him like he did a few times. He just gives me those half-hearted pecks like "don't touch me!"

I saw DH on the run camera yesterday. When he walked through the door, Fabio did his puff up shoulder drop, herding routine with him. DH seemed oblivious to it. He had an apple core with him and plopped down in one of the chairs and the hens and Fabio instantly surrounded him. Amelia and Sissy kept jumping up to try to steal the core. DH broke off pieces of it and hand fed Fabio and he would drop them for the girls. I think I saw him eat one or two pieces.

If I tried that, he'd likely peck me. Sexist ass.
The roosters behaviour here varies with territory. When they come to my house they're on their best behaviour. Now Cillin is all grown up, when I clean his tribes coop he comes and inspects and you can see he is not at all happy when I move any eggs. I put them on the ground where he can see them.
Chickens, they're far more intelligent than they normal get credit for imo.
