Went home after work last night and got the lawn mowed. I was out happily mulching my garden and my dopey girl wanders up to the fence:

Covered in muck! :he I'd mowed this weed this weekend and bagged it and tossed it into the alleyway to dry out. The stickiest most gooey grossness and of course she finds it. So she got the hose (which she hates) and we walked down to the pond to swim off the rest, haha. Little witch.
:sick Did she need a bath too when she got in the house?
Fuji would do that if she could. If she stops to roll, it is always something stinky.
A friend of mine had 2 blond labradoodles. Another had a large Rottweiler... that had been having very soft BMs. We were all free running our dogs in the fields I take mine to to this day. One of the labradoodles rolled in a huge, fresh pile dropped by the Rotti. It was awful. I offered him access to my backyard, a hose and some soap but he loaded his dogs up in his SUV as is and took them home!! The stink and mess in the car must have been terrible.

Due to a high water table here I have 3 sump pumps in the cellar. Periodically Dani would decide to wallow in the water from them. If it was warm enough I would hose her off outside. If not she and I would shower together. I've been missing her today.

Yuck! The course must be green though right? Do you still have grass in your yard?

The course is green due to an extensive (and fragile) irrigation system. I've always thought it would be interesting to have x-ray vision to see all the pipes and fittings under that course. There are miles of pipe, including some not still in use.

Last year DH & the maintenance crew had to sod the tiny front yards of the 3 company owned houses (we live in one of those). There was a big shot coming to town from out of state and an impression had to be made as he was driven past  There isn't any irrigation for the yards so the maintenance guys have to manually hook up hoses to water the fronts. The back yards are arid, lots of scrub, a few cactus and lots of gopher holes...the whole place looks a little schizo.

And on a side note... who is the weirdo posting all that rambling nonsense on K9SPY's intro thread? I see he's been a member for a while, but the posts are really odd.
Things that make you go "hmmmm".

I finally stopped following that one, it was too much.

It takes a long, long time to adjust to a loss like that Sour. :hugs

I remember the sod and the pretty flowers you planted last year. What you describe about the rest sounds pretty much par for the course for everywhere around here

I have difficulty picturing cacti there knowing you have brutal winters. Crazy!

If I was going to keep this guy I'd name him Pepe Le Pew

What can I say...it's a crazy kind of place. If I can remember, my next day off I'll take a picture or two. Gotta be careful though, they kind of hide in the scrub.
