One of the eggs is hatching!!!!!
I know most of you are rolling your eyes thinking "whooptie do" but I've never seen a chick hatch and this little one will be the very first to hatch here from our own chickens!! I'm super happy for my little broody girl!
I didn't even know one was hatching and went in to feed Barb. She ate some from my hand and then I lifted her wing and saw the piece of egg shell under her and then saw the chick pushing at the tear in the membrane! There should be a baby in the morning. Geez!! I'm stupid excited about such a natural, simple thing.

I get excited every time. No "whooptie do's" from me Can't wait to see pictures!

Roomie, we get a lot of requests for Arnold Palmers in the restaurant. I make the tea from loose leaf and the lemonade from scratch...mix them together & you have an Arnie! Very good

That sounds delicious! Far better than the canned stuff, and even that's good

Good morning, Café - it's gonna be a b'ball sort of day. At least 2 games with the possibility of more.



Back in the newlywed days it was hot, and the Princess who doesn't handle heat well wanted an air conditioner. Me, "I grew up without AC, and it is unnecessary." Later that night when I felt quite romantic she replied, "It's entirely too hot for doing that." I bought an air conditioner the next day. Have I ever mentioned that the Princess is far smarter than me ?

As for the pugs lives being in danger, hmmmmmmmmmm.

I feed my cat raw too but I make it myself. It is actually a lot less expensive than the grain free canned food too. And she tolerates it so much better. And she is 17, survived breast cancer and still tears around this house like a maniac.

Oh wow that is awesome!! Luna’s only 9. Well, almost. The 17th. She’s not really picky at all so I think I’ll try the raw. I actually have some I ordered recently but haven’t tried it yet. Might try it. It was a variety pack type thing with various meats. If she doesn’t eat it, I can always give to DB & FSIL’s dogs who are now raw fed.
