Another funny story as I was talking to the neighbor... I LOVE these neighbors, HATE their dogs. The dogs that attacked Ben, the other neighbors cat, growled at Dad and DH and killed Bunny, my EE. Those dogs.
Well, he told me one morning when he was walking the dogs, Jake, the larger of the two heathens and the killer of Bunny, lifted his leg and peed on my electric fence. And yessiree, got a hell of a punch to his man parts!! (There really aren't enough emoticons to express the glee I felt at the learning of this information!)

Justice! That might make him think twice before messing with your property again

The neighbor who will be building my stone walls texted me about some dappled willow he had access to. I'm pulling out the Princess holly and blue point juniper hedge row I installed between our houses. It run adjacent to the drainage trench that ran for months last fall, winter and this spring. All the holly drowned.
You can plant dappled willow in concrete and it will thrive. And it grows like a chick only a lot bigger!! It will make a much better privacy hedge.
He got these plants for about $5 each. They are normally $25. I also got a knock out rose, elderberry bush, hydrangea tree, Alberta spruce, a "variegated something or other" (I believe that is the Latin name) and some hardy hibiscus. For $100 total!! SCORE!!
