Debby, that frantic emoji reminds me of something Grandpa McCoy once said about Kate, if you're familiar with the show. He said she was running around like an old hen with her tail feathers on fire. Silly thing to remember from so long ago.

My Mom's wedding veil caught fire and my Dad put it out with his hands!

Morning, all! Another thunderstorm ran through last night and started a fire about 1/4 mile from the barn. Weren't in any danger, but that lightening was a bit too close for comfort. Brother (about 25 miles away) said it was the most impressive show he's ever seen. We couldn't see much on account of the clouds. FD was there pretty quickly, thank G! Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Thanks, I don't like to see them fight, even if it's just pulling feathers and chasing each other right now. Time to send a few to freezer camp.

Yes but this will be my first time. I've helped with the quail which really took away the...fear/gross factor? I also learned how to distance myself and not think of them as pets that way.

I'm biting my nails over it, believe me. I'm going to do it though, come hell or high water.

It gets easier but is still not pleasant of fun. I see is as necessary for food and a good skill to have

Mentioning rude awakenings . . . .

I'm not sure any rooster could beat a loud crash from the kitchen at 4:30 a.m. Still trying to figure out how they did it, but some cat knocked a drain rack full of dishes onto the floor. Lost two plates, a glass, and two coffee mugs (one of those was an old friend from my college days). *sigh*

Can somebody remind we why we keep pets?!

Our cats do stuff like that too!

They are under a year old and hopefully will grow out of this soon

I think the ashes are cleared away but I definitely have a higher hairline today than yesterday

P.S. To the rest of you, I did this yesterday in a fight with a smoker (the smoker won)
